New Branch & Admin Building Opening Spring 2021

In 2017, LCCU and our Board of Directors decided it was time for the Credit Union to expand its facilities to meet the growth in members and business we were seeing. It was a long process to find the right property, but in May 2020 we finally broke ground on our new building that is located on Bryden Ave in Lewiston.

This headquarters will house a new branch, administrative offices and a community room that will be available for use by local businesses and organizations. The building was always designed with growth in mind, and after walking the space in September, the decision was made to implement our “future” plan now. So the back of the building was extended by 27 feet to create a larger community room, thus saving money, time and mess!

The walls are being framed and roof trusses are going up, and it now looks like a real building! The design of the building is now apparent, and I really love all the angles. I’m thrilled with the progress of the construction. Everything is moving along right on schedule – thank goodness!

New Branch & Administrative Building Update

The concrete slab has been poured and the pillars for the drive-thru are up! We’re beginning to see the building take shape, and it’s so exciting!

This week we were able to get the permit that allows us to start going vertical – meaning the framing for the building will start.  The framers are showing up Monday, August 3rd. They have been working hard the past couple weeks on not only the slab but also clearing and leveling the site which has made a huge difference in the appearance of the lot. Within the next couple weeks, we should really see progress on the building itself.

Building the Future – July 2020

New Branch & Administrative Building

Since 2017, we have been working on a solution for expanding our facilities as we have seen such tremendous growth over the last few years. After a long search and much due diligence, this past January, we closed on a property on Bryden Avenue in Lewiston where our new LCCU administrative offices, which includes a new branch and community room, will be located.

It has been a fun six months seeing this exciting project move forward. In March, we worked with the Idaho State Police and the Lewiston Fire Department as they both performed various training exercises inside an existing building. Demolishing the building was necessary, as we needed to make sure we had ample parking available for our members. We then finalized floor plans, elevations and the building design with our architect and general contractor, and submitted plans to the city for approval. In May, we broke ground on the building and are hoping to open the doors by the end of this year or early next year.

Groundbreaking Ceremony – May 2020

 

Lewis Clark Credit Union (LCCU) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Administration Building, on Thursday, May 14, at 11 AM. The new location is at 604 Bryden Avenue, Lewiston, ID.

The general contractor for the new facility is Kenaston Corporation. Completion is expected in the spring of 2021.

The new location will include administration offices for current staff with room to expand for future growth, a community room for training, member and community events, and an innovative new banking experience for our members.

The entire team at LCCU is very excited to be a part of the growing Bryden Avenue business corridor. As stewards of our members’ investments, building the new facility ensures we are offering our members the best means for growth, with innovation, with community, and with our focus on their future.
